Obituary of William Hurkens

HURKENS, William (Bill):  Peacefully at the St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on Friday, September 1, 2017 of Simcoe in his 70th year. Son of the Late Martinus and Lamberdina Hurkens.  Beloved husband of the late Mary Lynn O’Malley (Bonaccorso).  Loving father of Jesse (Helen).  Step father of the Late Steve O’Malley, (Barbara Walters), John O’Malley (Cheryl), Jim O’Malley, Sandra Gohm (Rick).  Cherished grandfather and great-grandfather.  Also surviving is are his brothers  Joe (Mary), Jerry , nieces and nephews.  Bill was predeceased by his sister Annie, brother Pete.  Friends are invited to meet with the family at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
