Obituary of Corina Heulens (Stewart)

HEULENS (Stewart) – Corina:  It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Corina (Corn) Rosalia Huelens at Norfolk General Hospital while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in her 56th year.  Loving and supportive mother of Courtney Stewart and Cory (Erin) Stewart.  Beloved daughter of Ahneta Hayes (Doug Lampkin) and Julien (Rose) Heulens.  Cherished and devoted gram (mie) to Evan, Blainlee, Landan, Jayden, Aliyah and Lincoln.  Dear sister of Judy (Jeff) Weller, Leona (Rick) Ashley and Ian (Karen) Heulens.  Corina will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends.  She will be sadly missed by her much loved fur babies Baylee Blue, Maezee and Tyson.  Corina was predeceased by her grandparents, aunts, uncles and other family members.  Corina was employed by Norfolk County for almost 30 years, most recently as the Municipal Law Enforcement Officer.  She was an avid animal lover.  At Corina’s request her body has been donated to science for medical research to help others.  Friends are invited to meet with the family for a Celebration of her life on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 2 – 4 p.m. at THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION BRANCH #79, 200 West St. Simcoe where a Remembrance Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in Corina’s memory are asked to consider Purrfect Companions of Norfolk, World Vision Canada or a charity of one’s choice.
