Obituary of Birgitta Irene Jewitt

JEWITT – Birgitta Irene:  Passed away peacefully at The Norfolk General Hospital on Sunday, June 17, 2018 in her 77^th year.  Born in Linkoping, Sweden to Georg and Siri Westerberg, immigrating to Canada in July 1951.  She is survived by her much beloved husband Len.  Loving mother of Heather Jewitt and Donna Beke (Carl).  Cherished grandmother of Rob Jewitt, Colin VanRooy and Siri Beke.  Also surviving is her brother Len Westerberg, brothers-in-law Les (Helen), Ken (Joyce), Bob (Wendy), nieces and nephews.  Birgitta was a dedicated Brownie Leader for 10 years who loved to sew and knit.  She also enjoyed cruising to the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Baltic and Hawaii.  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 4 – 7 p.m. at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe, to Celebrate Birgitta’s Life.  Cremation has taken place.  Those wishing to make a donation in Birgitta’s memory are asked to consider The Who Did It Club or a Charity of One’s Choice.  Online condolences at www.baldockfuneralhome.com
