Obituary of Marjorie Jean Martin

MARTIN; Marjorie Jean – passed away peacefully November 6, 2018 in her 83rd year, surrounded by family at home in Chestnut Court, St Joseph's Lifecare Centre, Brantford, Ontario. Daughter of the late Ira and Mildred Long. Beloved wife of the late Eric. Loving mother of Julie Martin-Jacob (Ross Sandham) and Tami Martin.  Proud and loving grandmother of Robert "Andrew" Archibald, Taija Martin, Melissa Martin-Chouinard (Devon Monague), William Jacob, and Lodina Martin. Marjorie was predeceased by her brother Dale Long. Marjorie will be dearly missed by sister Marion Prichard (the late Ted), Roger Long (the late Donna), Garry Long (Kathy), and Sharon Long. Marjorie will be greatly missed by beloved friend Grace McLeod. Marjorie will be also missed by so many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from Ontario and Quebec. A few sentences about Gram... A more selfless person there was not. Marjorie was well known for her wonderful smile and generous, forgiving nature. Anyone who knew Grams knew about her love of anything coloured pink, flavoured lemon and yelling "BINGO!" We are also very happy she will be reunited with her beloved cat "Miss Prissy.”  Marjorie's family would like to thank the kind staff on Chestnut Court at St Joseph's Lifecare Centre for unparalleled support and compassionate care. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m. at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe where the funeral will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.  Reverend Gary Patterson Officiating followed by interment at Cultus United Cemetery.  Those wishing to make a donation in Marjorie’s memory are asked to consider a charity of one’s choice.  Online condolences at www.baldockfuneralhome.com
