Obituary of Ralph Edward Schaeffer

SCHAEFFER – Ralph Edward:  Passed away into the Presence of his Lord at the Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in his 90^th year.  Son of the Late Walter and Caroline Schaeffer.  Much beloved husband of Doreen (nee: Dettman) for over 65 years.  Loving father of Paul (Laurie) and Scott (Debbie).  Cherished grandfather of Julia Matthews (Trevor), Erin Jacobs (Paul), Caroline Jager (Jonathon), Carrie Stewart (Brad Suchucki) and great-grandfather of William, Clare, Lillianna, Edward, Kaitlyn, Grace and Max.  Also surviving are his brother-in-laws Ken Dettman, Leroy Dettman and many precious nieces and nephews.  Ralph was predeceased by his brothers Gerald (Marie), Earl (Anita), brother and sister-in-laws Edna Miller (Herb), Doris Wagner (Harvey), Evelyn Dettman and Bonnie Dettman.  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe.  The funeral will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from ST.
