Obituary of Wanda Mary Majewicz

MAJEWICZ – Wanda Mary:  Passed away peacefully at The Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home on Sunday, February 17, 2019 in her 80th year.  Born in Poland she immigrated to Canada at the age of 17.  Much beloved wife of the Late Feliks (1984).  Loving mother of Teresa Speller (Brian), Sabina (Sandi) Trinder (Jim), Stella Keller (Joe), Carol Buck and Agnes Robitaille.  Cherished grandmother of Tara (Don), David, Katherine (Cory), Amelia (Chris), Nikita, Kevin, Jarryd, Jessica, Ethan, Benjamin, Jacob and great-grandmother of Duncan.  Also surviving is her sister Theresa Luscumbe (Brian), nieces and nephews.  Wanda was predeceased by her mother Veronica Horodyski and daughter Lucy (1980).  Wanda with her husband Feliks ran a hobby farm while holding down full time employment and raising their daughters.  She was always a hard worker and in later life survived cancer.  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 5 – 8 p.m. with Parish Prayers being said at 6 p.m. at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Saturday at 11 a.m. from ST MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 211 Union St. Simcoe.  Reverend Father Alan Dufraimont presiding.  Followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Those wishing to make a donation in Wanda’s memory are asked to consider The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.  Online condolences at www.baldockfuneralhome.com
