Obituary of Betty Basden

BASDEN - Mary Elizabeth “Betty”:  Passed away peacefully with family at her side at Norview Lodge on Thursday, April 11th, 2019 just one month shy of her 99th birthday. Daughter of the Late Eli and Eva Marion.  Much beloved wife of the Late George Basden.  She will be missed by her children Betty Bell (Bill), Barbara Morris (Scott), Mary Thomson (Don), Margaret Basden-Flaws, Patricia Basden, Peter Basden and Nancy Vanderhart (Glen), her grandchildren Clayton, Donna, Kristy, Becky, Brant, Mark, Curtis, James, Jeremy and Jason and by her great-grandchildren Gregory, Dameon, Abigail, Kimberly, Paige, Haley, Hunter, Rylan, Carter, Jaden, Emma, Finnegan, Ayla, Jackson and Bentley Also surviving is her sister Teresa VanHoesen, nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her grandson Kenny Thomson. Friends.   Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m and Parish Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. from ST. MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 211 Union St., Simcoe.  Reverend Father Alan Dufraimont officiating.  Cremation to follow with interment Windsor at a later date.  Those wishing to make a donation in Betty’s name are asked to consider a Charity of One’s Choice.  Online condolences at www.baldockfuneralhome.com
