Obituary of Harold Oscar, Henry Brandow

BRANDOW – Harold Oscar Henry:  Passed away peacefully at Cedarwood Village on Monday, May 13, 2019 of Simcoe in his 84th year.  Son of the Late Morley and Clara Brandow.  Much beloved husband of Katherine (nee: Brown) for over 64 years.  Loving father of Fran Asselin (Yvon), Sandi Takahashi (Clifford) and Alison Pacut (John).  Cherished grandfather of Stacy (Greg), Nathan (Karalee), Pierre (Annie), Michelle (Mathieu), Kathy (Eric), Nicole (Benjamin), Sandra (Rob), Larry and Mariette. Loved great-grandfather of Sonny, Zoe, Gabriel, Ariel, Noemie, Adam, Lucas, Cecil, Gracy, Natalee, Teegan, Keenan, Haylee, Jasmine, Spencer, Violet, Kyler, Donovan and Colten.  Also surviving is his sisters Doreen and Helen,  brother Kane, sisters-in-law Marlene and Violet.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  Harold was predeceased by his brothers Ray and Murray. He worked for The American Can Company for 27 years. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for over 58 years where he held Priesthood Office of High Priest, Bishop for 1963 – 1966.  A honoured member of Boy Scouts of Canada.  Held several positions in the CanWorkers Union. Was on committees of The Town of Simcoe and was a member of The Eva Brook Donly Museum Genealogy.  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10 – 12 noon at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, 195 Victoria St. Simcoe where the funeral will be held on Saturday at 12 noon.   Those wishing to make a donation in Harold’s memory are asked to consider The Heart and Stroke Foundation.  THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe in care of arrangements.  Online condolences at www.baldockfuneralhome.com
