Obituary of Verna Leone Weaver

WEAVER, Verna Leone (nee Brandow) -- Passed away peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, on Friday, May 31st, 2019, in her 81st year. Daughter of the late Chancey and Vera Brandow. Beloved wife of the late Robert Weaver (Bob). Loving Mother of Doug (Elizabeth) of Stirling, Debra Koval (Robert) of Barrie, and David (Elizabeth) of Simcoe. Cherished grandmother of Robert, Johnathan, Samantha, Liam, Vera, Kyle, Mark, Mathew, and  Sean, as well as eight great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Iona, Clara, Jean, and brother Walter. A special thank you to the exceptional staff at Norfolk General Hospital and to Dr. Wynveen for their care, kindness, patience, and compassion to our Mom as they eased her through her final days. Verna is resting at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N,. Simcoe, where friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, June 5th, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  A Graveside service will be held on Friday June 7th, 2019 at 11 a.m. at OAKWOOD CEMETERY, 35 Potts Rd., Simcoe.  Those wishing to make a donation in Verna’s memory are asked to consider the Simcoe and District Humane Society.
