Obituary of Walter Gorodnick

GORODNICK – Walter:  Passed peacefully at home on Sunday, July 14^th, 2019 in his 86^th year.  Son of the late Anthony and Fee Gorodnick.  Beloved husband of Mae.  Father of Barb (Harold) Doughty and Gary (Kim) Gorodnick.  He will be missed by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  Survived by his sister Helen (Ron) Smith.  Predeceased by his sister Needa Haskett.   Walt loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time travelling, camping, and fishing.  He worked for the Norfolk Co-op in Simcoe until retirement and also did part-time farming.  Cremation has taken place.  In accordance with Walt’s wishes a private family graveside service will be held.  The family is inviting friends and family to a reception on Monday July 22^nd, 2019 at 12 p.m. at the Army, Navy, & Airforce Unit 255, 53 Water St, Simcoe.  THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe, in care of arrangements.   Those wishing to make a donation in Walt’s memory are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society.  Online condolences at www.baldockfuneralhome.com
