Obituary of Rena Margaret DeCarolis

DeCAROLIS – Rena Margaret (Renzi):  Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Norfolk General Hospital on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 of Walsh at the age of 90. Rena was born March 8, 1929 to Emilio and Lucia Renzi of Archbald, PA. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Gabe who died October 11, 2016.  Rena will be greatly missed by her children, Angela, Jim and wife Lori, Mary, John and life partner Richelle. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Amanda, Stephen, Rachele and Yves, Meghan and Mike, Andria, Robbie, Ashley and Ed, Tara and Cody and her great grandchildren Luis, Theo, Owen, El and Cody Maxwell.  Dearest sister of Olga and brother the late Renzo Renzi. Remembered by sisters-in-law Phyllis,Sandy and Marcia, nieces, nephews and friends.  Rena worked tirelessly alongside her husband on the family farm. She was a faithful member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church for 60 years and played the church organ every Sunday for 20 plus years.  Family and friends are welcome to join in a celebration of life Mass followed by a luncheon on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at ST. MICHAEL’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 978 St. John's Rd. West, Walsh. Father Thomas Kuriacko and Father Brian McColl presiding.  Interment will follow at Walsh United Cemetery.  THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe in care of arrangements.  Those wishing to make a donation in Rena’s memory are asked to consider St. Michael’s Church.  The family would like to express sincere appreciation to all the nannies especially Edgar, Steven, Joren, CJ and Kim, the personal support workers of  VON, the staff on the Palliative Care Unit, and Rena's family doctor Dr. Williamson.  The family is most grateful to Baldock Funeral Home, for their great care in overseeing funeral arrangements.
