Obituary of Hendrika Vlasak

VLASAK: Hendrika Maria (nee Hoekzema) -- Passed away in her 98th year at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home, on December 16, 2019. Beloved wife of the late William John Vlasak. Loving mother of Hendrika Terry (George) Lubrick and William R. (Cathy) Vlasak. Precious Oma of seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, and lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Ludwina DeBruijn and Nellie Hoekzema of Holland, sister-in-law of Karl (Ida) Vlasak and Anna Brenner, both of Austria. “Henny” immigrated to Canada in 1953 and became a Canadian citizen in 1960. Henny made museum quality needlepoint landscapes and knitted numerous gorgeous blankets for the Juravinski Centre. Cremation has taken place.
