Obituary of Gertrude Gunton

GUNTON – Gertrude Sybil:  Passed away at The Norfolk General Hospital on Monday, July 31, 2017 of Simcoe in her 90th year.  Daughter of the Late John and Jemima MacGregor.  Much beloved wife of the Late Harold Gunton.  Dear friend Joe Friesen and his family.  Loving mother of Sandra Box, Larry Gunton (Billee), Sherry Corbett, Judith Klages (Jerry) and Allen Gunton (Sharon).  Cherished grandmother of Sherry, Shawna, Pauline, Victoria, Shannan, Tammy, Cathy Jo, Lee, Christopher, Adam, Aric, Melissa, Mathew, Allen, Geoff, Jennifer, great-grandmother of 27 and great-great grandmother of 2.  Also surviving is her sister Verena Bell, sisters-in-law Jean MacGregor and Evelyn Atkinson, numerous nieces and nephews.  Gertrude was predeceased by her son-in-law Tommy Corbett, daughter-in-law Gail Gunton, grandson Craig, brothers Allen and Jack MacGregor and brother-in-law Ed Bell.  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 11 a.m. – 1 .pm. at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in Gertrude’s memory are asked to consider The Heart and Stroke Foundation.  Online condolences at www.baldockfuneralhome.com
