Obituary of Geesje Martin

MARTIN – Geesje “Greta” (nee: ten Klooster) – Of Lynnville, passed away at The Norfolk General Hospital on Friday, August 18, 2017 in her 96th year.  Beloved wife of the Late Wilfred Martin.  Dear daughter of the Late Willem and Marina ten Klooster.  Loving mother of Edward (Alice), Gerald, Jim and Mary Ann (Bob Townsend).  Cherished grandma of Catherine, Justin (Samantha), Jarrett (Brodi), John (Sidney), step-grandma of Suzanne, Daryl (Holly) and  great grand-mother of Riley and step great grand-mother of Tyler and Benjamin.  Also surviving is her sister Margaret Hosack, nieces Lois, Marina, Faye, Evva, nephew Larry and neighbours.  Greta was predeceased by her brother Willem (JoAnn), in-laws Horace and Emily Martin, brothers-in-law Harry, Horace (Freida), Leicster (Ella), Isaac Bauslaugh (Winnie) and nephew Wayne.  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 4 – 8 p.m. at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe.  A Celebration of Greta’s life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from LYNNVILLE UNITED CHURCH, Interment in Lynnville Cemetery to follow.  Those wishing to make a donation in Greta’s memory are asked to consider Lynnville United Church or a Charity of One’s Choice.  Online condolences at www.baldockfuneralhome.com
