Obituary of Edith Leidl

LEIDL – Edith Irene: of Simcoe passed away suddenly on Friday November 17, 2017 at Norfolk General Hospital in her 76th year. Daughter of the Late John and Mary Mazurka.  Much beloved wife of Mat.  Loving mother of Jim (Karen) and John (Mary Pat). Cherished grandmother of Brett, Jamie, Jessa, Arden, Matthew and Rhiannon.  Also surviving is her sister Mari Anne Mazurka, brothers John Mazurka and Robert Mazurka (Helen), numerous nieces and nephews and other loved ones.  Edith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She enjoyed getting together with family and friends and she loved playing cards.  Her passion was organizing tours for others and traveling.  Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, hearing of their activities and accomplishments. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, November 23, 2017 from 10 – 11 a.m. at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe where a celebration of Edith’s life will be held with a Liturgy of The Word on Thursday,  at 11 a.m.  Cremation has taken place.  There will be a private family interment in the Columbarium at Oakwood Cemetery.  Those wishing to make a donation in Edith’s memory are asked to consider The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #79, Simcoe or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.  Online condolences at www.baldockfuneralhome.com.
