Obituary of Rose Pond

POND – Rose:  Passed away at Terrace Lodge, Aylmer on Saturday, February 10, 2018 formerly of Simcoe in her 91^st. year.  Daughter of the Late Nicholas and Jennie Hackman.  Loving mother of Terry Pond (Monica) of Tillsonburg, Kathy Murdoch (Gib) of Burlington and Susan Charleau (Ed Crawford) of Woodstock.  Cherished grandmother of Mike (Deanna), Lauren (Thom), David, Ryan (Kim), Sarah Jaye, Taylor (Dan), Adam (Stephanie) and Bryan.  Great-grandmother of Luke, Hannah, Hailey, Jack, Natalie, Juliet, Ryley, Dylan, Jaxson (Bear) and Bennett.  Also surviving are her many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother Peter (Mary) and sister Olga. Rose retired from The Norfolk General Hospital, was a past member of the Simcoe Lady Lions, Simcoe Curling Club and was a member of St. James United Church.  A Celebration of Rose’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. from ST JAMES UNITED CHURCH, 150 Colborne St. N., Simcoe.  Reverend Barry Bain and Reverend Dr. Stan Cox officiating.  Cremation has taken place with interment in the family plot at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.  THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe in care of arrangements.  Those wishing to make a donation in Rose’s memory are asked to consider Camp Trillium/Rainbow Lake.  Online condolences at www.baldockfuneralhome.com
