Clarence William “Bill” Ferris

September 8, 1927 – September 8, 2018

 

It is with great sadness, but with so many fond memories, that the family of Clarence William Ferris mourn his peaceful passing on his 91st birthday. Bill was predeceased by his wives Ruth Lord and June Hutchinson (Bulmer). He is survived by his children Jim (Cheri) Ferris, Ohio, USA, Sue (Randy) Bird, Foymount, Ontario, David (Pat) Ferris, Rockford, Ontario, Lynda (Tom) Baker, Simcoe, Ontario. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Shirley Bremner, brothers Bob, Ted, Allan, sisters Betty Chapman and Carol Vanderworken. Survived by his sister Marion Smith. Bill was an excellent boat builder and repaired many boats in the area. He enjoyed building anything out of wood. He also made many pictures for the family from needlepoint. He was a mail carrier in St. Williams for 40+ years as well as being a volunteer fireman As per Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a family graveside service at a later date. THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe, in care of arrangements.   Many thanks to the entire staff at Norview Lodge for their care and compassion with Dad. He had many laughs and jokes with the staff that worked closest with him.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ALS Society of Canada or The Diabetes Association.
