Dear Nancy and Leo,
Your mother will be fondly remembered for her sense of style, as a very gracious hostess and a loving, caring person. She also had another side that we did see - one of humour. I am sure she always looked at my dad and Uncle Louie as being the youngsters of the family and in some ways they both kept a bit of their boyish charm - your mom definitely played the role of the older sister - wiser and more mature yet ready to have a laugh or two as well.
Although the distance kept us from seeing your mother often, cousin Gail was kind enough to keep the family informed. Aunt Lil was always in our thoughts and prayers.
We send our condolences to you and your families.
With love
Lynda (DeSerrano) Amorim

Cousin Nancy and Cousin Leo: l will remember my Godmother Aunt Lil as a very classy, generous, intelligent, articulate, inquisitive woman with a very good sense of humour. Growing up in such a large family with all those characters (our aunts and uncles), you had to have a good sense of humour. I remember those get togethers long ago, when they were all together, laughing, drinking, telling stories, etc, ...it’s hard to believe that they are now all gone. Aunt Lil was always generous to me, as a child and teenager, never forgetting my birthday, sharing Belgian family history and stories with me, ...later on, trusting me with some family archives, and recently a Devos painting, which l will forever cherish, ....she always made me feel special and blessed to be her God-son. My thoughts and prayers are with you both, and all who were closest to Aunt Lil, ...love, your cousin David.

Dear Leo and Nancy:
Expressing my deepest sympathy over the passing of Aunt Lil. I have fond memories of my interactons with Aunt Lil over the years at showers and family get togethers. She definitely had the De Serrano smile and glint in her eye. I remembered her for her elegant grace and style. An aunt that I always looked up to. She will be missed.
You both are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Love your cousin,
Chris (De Serrano) Harrop
